...But it had a kind of leisurely dignity, a trailing kind of polka-waltz, intimate, passionate, yet never hurried, never violent in its passion, always becoming more intense. The women's faces changed to a kind of transported wonder, they were in the very rhythm of delight. From the soft bricks of the floor red ochre rose in a thin cloud of dust, making hazy the shadowy dancers; the three musicians, in their black hats and their cloaks, sat obscurely in the corner, making a music that came quicker and quicker, making a dance that grew swifter and more intense, more subtle, the men seeming to fly and implicate another strange inter-rhythmic dance into the women, the women drifting and palpitating as if their souls shook and resounded to a breeze that was subtly rushing upon them, through them;

the men worked their feet their thighs swifter, more vividly, the music came to an almost int! olerable climax, there was a moment when the dance passed into a possession, the men caught up the women and swung them from the earth, leapt with them for a second, and then the next phase of the dance slower again, more subtly interwoven, taking perfect, oh, exquisite delight in every interrelated movement, a rhythm within a rhythm, a subtle approaching and drawing nearer to a climax, nearer till, oh, there was the surpassing lift and swing of the women, when the woman's body seemed like a boat lifted over the powerful, exquisite wave of the man's body, perfect for a moment, and then once more the slow, intense, nearer movement if the dance began, always nearer, nearer, always to a more perfect climax.

We played a gig and then new horizons...

<dc:subject>Blogs</dc:subject>

(null)

About George W. ...If a common man robs a bank, the penalty is severe, but if a banker robs the bank by misusing its systems, he just gets a couple of hundred million worth of bonuses which he will be allowed to keep and then gets a golden handshake.

...This unfairness has been allowed to continue and it severely demoralises the society: Those greedy ones are allowed to rob and destroy the society, why should the rest obey it.

Somehow this all shows the decline of our moral values and with moral values I don’t mean necessarily religion: I just mean human moral values: taking care of the next and thinking of the best of society.

...The blind faith on market economy, the amount of greed seldom seen in our history and total stupidity of the president himself.

That combination has now pushed tens of millions of people to deep problems, forced our societies to borrow from our children and grand children to finance their mistakes – and not even to speak about the environment.

...For me it is still the time, when time stands still for 48 hours and a breath of goodness fills the air: Thinking about giving rather than getting, helping people in need, praying for a better world.

...Don’t get me wrong, it not the only time in a year me being spiritual, but it is the most universal moment when almost the entire world stops and a glint of something better lights the earth. I know – it’s an illusion, there are billions of people who doesn’t know about it, but still.

...I travel a lot, and in all new places where ever I go, I try to visit three places: A Museum or an old city, a market place of some sort and a holy place – whether it’s church, mosque or synagogue.

...If it touches your heart, it surely fills its purpose: A simple song from a simple human being to another – a prayer that some day every day would a Christmas day – even in May.

...We had our fights and I was his rebel son, but had huge respect on his values and the way he urged us to build our own values individually and to live after them. I have seldom succeeded in living up to them, but they are still there, in my heart.

...In these times of turmoil, I believe it is very important to bring our basic values back to discussion. ... The most stupid president in entire history of USA, whose values - or lack of values - brought us to this turmoil, where tens of millions of people will suffer because greed of few and that nobody followed what was happening. ... The good part is that now they have a president whose talks the language I find easy to adapt to: Values.
